9 Delicious Mueller Restaurants Offering Takeout
Are you looking for great takeout options in Austin’s Mueller neighborhood?
Takeout and delivery can be a great way to support local businesses and take a break from cooking while social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of us are tired of cooking or simply don’t have time to do it. That’s why I put together this list of some of my favorite restaurants along with some of the most recommended spots in Mueller that are offering takeout.
1. Colleen’s Kitchen
Hours: Curbside pickup is available from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily
Delivery Options: Favor, DoorDash and UberEats
Colleen’s Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the Mueller neighborhood, and I was excited to see they were offering takeout. I ordered from Colleen’s on the UberEats app recently and got the caesar salad with chicken, buttermilk biscuits and a salted chocolate chip cookie. The food tasted just as good as it does in the restaurant (but I do miss their cool decor).
They are offering their full menu, daily specials and family meal deals as well as beer and wine to-go. Call ahead, order online or order through their walk-up window. Colleen’s is a great option for a nice takeout date night meal that won’t break the bank.
You can order from Colleen’s Kitchen for curbside pickup here.
2. Gino’s Vino Osteria
Hours: Tuesday through Thursday, Sunday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Delivery Options: Favor
Gino’s Vino reopened for dine-in on Friday, May 1, but you can still order takeout by calling their number at 512-351-8426. They are offering a select number of items on their menu for takeout which you can find on their to-go menu. They are also taking alcohol orders with the purchase of food. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is a great choice (I crave their Frutti di Mare con Pasta Nera all the time).
3. Torchy’s Tacos
Hours: 10:15 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Delivery Options: DoorDash and Favor

Weekend Pro Tip: Blanket + Torchy’s Family Pack = Instant At-Home Picnic 🌮💯 Get outside (or stay in, we love a good living room picnic 😏) and enjoy one of our Family Packs with your choice of meat, tortillas and all the fixings, starting at $25. 📲Order online for curbside pickup or free delivery with DoorDash. 📷: @atxfoodchronicles
Along with their regular menu, Torchy’s Tacos is offering family packs as well as at-home margarita, Titos, and mimosa kits. The family packs are a great choice if you want something the whole family will enjoy or if you’re like me and want something that will last you through the week.
I recently treated myself to tacos and queso as well as an at-home mimosa kit from Torchy’s, and it was glorious. I am a big fan of their customizable tacos, and every time I open my DoorDash app, I am tempted to order their to-go drink kits while I’m stuck at home.
You can order Torchy’s online for takeout here.
Hours: Wednesday through Saturday 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Delivery Options: UberEats, DoorDash and Favor
Contigo is offering a drive-thru. You can simply order online and pick up your food without leaving your car. Along with some of their usual staples, they are now also offering great deals on their new weekly “Dinner for 2.” This is another great choice for a date night that won’t break the bank.
Contigo has an open-air market with pantry staples that is open from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are also offering curbside pickup for these market items from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
If you can’t decide what to order, I recommend their burger and fries.
You can order from Contigo or the Contigo Market for pickup here.
5. L’oca D’oro
Hours: Taking to-go orders Monday (starting at 8:00 a.m.) through Wednesday (until 11:30 p.m.) for pickup on Thursday and Friday
Delivery Options: None
L’Oca d’Oro is serving takeout family meals that are meant to serve two to four people. For every four meals they sell, they are donating a meal to the city’s food-insecure population as part of Good Work Austin’s Universal Food Bank program.
6. Xian Sushi and Noodle
Hours: 10:45 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:45 to 8 p.m. on Sunday
Delivery Options: Delivery available through their online order system if you are in the delivery zone and UberEats
Xian Sushi and Noodle has anything and everything you need for a great meal. They have countless sushi rolls, noodles, desserts, appetizers and more.
While I haven’t eaten at Xian Sushi and Noodle, it has been on my list to try, and I’ve heard it is incredible.
You can order online and see their menu here.
7. Bao’d Up
Hours: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily
Delivery Options: UberEats, DoorDash and Favor
Bao is one of the best comfort foods, and we all need comforting right now. Bao’d Up has family meals, bowls, bubble tea and more. I am personally a big fan of their brisket bao with a matcha green tea to wash it down.
Order online and see their menu here.
Takeout Hours: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
Delivery Options: UberEats, GrubHub, DoorDash and Favor
Halcyon reopened for dine-in on Friday, May 1, but they are still offering takeout.
While they are not offering their entire menu, they are offering Sunday family meals as well as coffee and bottles of bubbly to-go. If you, like everyone else, have been struggling to get grocery delivery or simply find the necessities in your local grocery, they are also selling pantry staples. Don’t miss out on their bakery items too. We all could use some chocolate cake and cookies these days.
You can see all of their comfort food, pantry staples, bar basics and meal kits here.
I hope I helped you find a delicious choice for you or your family whether it be something new or an old favorite. Feel free to reach out to me if I missed one of your favorites!
